Default IHM & Back Massage

Hi Guys

A salon in my area offers Indian Head Massage & Back Massage as a combined treatment.

I am qualified to perform such treatments myself and would like to offer this to my clients, but I am not sure of the routine.

Can any of you help?

I offer this kind of treatment and call it the half and half treatent! It's rather popular! I do the treatment unclothed although client is covered with towel. I have the client on the couch for the whole treatment starting with a 30min back massage including bits on the neck, then i go up into the hair and do some work on the scalp and head. I then turn the client over so their lieing on their back and proceed with some more neck and chest work, before moving in to a face massage. I then finish with five mins in the hair doing scalp work.

So - Back massage
-Some neck
-Some head

Turn over

-Neck and chest work
-Face massage
-Finishing with some head work.

Clients love it and think finishing with a bit in the hair is the icing on the cake!

That's just how i do it and others may be different. Plus as always, its nice to find your own way of working.

Forgot to say, i start with the back as i personally think its nicer to get rid of any aches and pains in there first. Then once the muscles are relaxed i can work the head etc and work on loosening the mental stress in the head and hair. I have asked clients what they want to start with but they have always opted for this option.

Good luck with it and glad to have helped
