hi I've been thinking about training in hypnotherapy to go alongside my other therapies. I have been looking at courses and was wondering if there was any funding available to help with further training. I know that with cut backs there maybe nothing available but if you don't ask you never know

To be honest I'm not sure. You may try asking your local council (or ask your local councillor directly ) if they have any grants available for improving local business opportunities. If there is they may want to put some conditions on the grant such as you being involved with local council promotions/events or something, but it may be worth it.

Be careful with hypnotherapy courses... there are definitely good and bad ones out there, and often the price is a good indication of this. Also, consider doing NLP along with hypnotherapy as a lot of courses do these together. Not only is that another tool in the toolbox, but trying to find a sole NLP course later on is tricky as it is usually tied in with Hypnotherapy courses, and you wouldn't want to train in hypno twice.

One course I have found is communicating excellence in Newcastle upon Tyne. It also does NLP along with the hypnotherapy diploma. Does anyone have experience of this school or recommendations for schools in the North East and what do I need to look for before I choose a course?

Did you find any funding options in the end? I am curious as I have not heard of any myself.
