As someone who is currently looking at training in hypnotherapy, i have had to consider what kind of course i want to go for. I decided that doing a course in a week or intense course, although great as i would be qualified quicker, would not give me enough time to process the information or get my head round setting it up as a business.
I have liked and especially looked at courses that are done over a ten month period or so, in order to process the information, get the practice in and to actually start thinking as a hypnotherapist.
I personally have no preference between a one day or two day course and i like the idea of a weekend course because it doesn't interfere if you work all week and can't take time off during the week.
I currently do another unrelated course and we do three days in a row, once every two months. In a way i like doing the three days together because the intensity means you can take a lot on board and it allows you to immerse yourself in it. However i can see Lavandula's point that one day is already pretty intense, so by doing two days your pretty tired already.
So, aside from the waffling! As someone who is looking at a course, i would personally prefer something that is one weekend a month as its not too much commitment when people have lives to lead, i'd find two weekends too much. Alternatively the two Saturdays a month, as that way people get some of their weekend but they are able to commit to that level of learning.
Good luck with it all.
