Default Recharging hot stones - why labradorite?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can cast some light on something for me please.

I have a shop that sells (amongst other things) crystals, and every so often I'll have a customer come in looking for a piece of labradorite to "recharge my hot stones". Whenever I say "why labradorite?" they just look blankly and say because that's what La Stone say you should use. A couple of customers on such a quest are also into their crystals and also don't understand why, but buy it because La Stone said so, but then when they think about it they also choose another stone that feels more appropriate to them as well.

So - why labradorite? I have to admit that as much as I love labradorite and make sure I always have a piece somewhere about my person, it wouldn't be my first choice for recharging anything.

Can someone shed some light please?
Thanks!

With love,
Amber

You can often find something like the following with labradorite descriptions....
It also is believed to elevate consciousness and protect a person's aura, helping to keep the aura clear, balanced, protected and free from energy leaks.

Stones Alive! says it connects us to love, which is one of the most important things the stones can be recharged with. (these are the LaStone crystal people, usually quite different insights into the stone that others)

Crystal Yoga says it is for attuning with the spiritual sky of the heart... linking with the presence and power of Spirit.

It's that linking and love aspect that recharge the stones around it for use in treatments.

This is what LaStone says....
This stone is perfect for recharging other stones, as the results of the stones’ energies continue to build and each result enhances the next result, elevating the stones’ consciousness and connection with the energies of the universe.

Also, most stones sets are made up of basalt, basalt often includes small quantities of fledspar, labdorite is part of the feldspar family, so it would resonate with most basalts.

What would you suggest for recharging stone sets used for treatments, and why?

A nice way my lecturer taught us to recharge stones was to leave them out overnight to absorb the energy from the moon. I always thought it was quite poetic and still do it from time to time.

Default Energising your Stones

Keeping them physically clean is the best place to start. Like any tools that are well looked after and cared for, they will perform.

In all my years of teaching and working with stones I find that nature does it best. A few days and a few nights in the sun and moonlight works wonders.

Much like us, we all need a holiday. There is a load of pseudo science and cod practice around but in reality we all need a rest!

On the basis that energy can niether be created or destroyed, why do you need to recharge them?

It can be shifted/displaced/replaced/discharged/recharged, none of that means created or destroyed. .
