Sad i wasn't there
I would like some advice or general input on a situation. My close friend's Grandad died recently and they had the funeral and the burial but she or her husband never contacted me to let me know. ( it was a public service not private)
I know that people need their space and time. My friend was there for me when my dear friend died and all through when her Grandad was ill she would speak on the phone at length to me about his illness, I had re-assured her that if she needed anything that I was there for her and I was calling to her house one evening 2 weeks ago and she told me she had to go to the hospital quickly. I wished her blessings and hoped for all to be well.
I wanted to be able to at least send her something nice and to be able to offer some words of comfort but no-one answered the phone and no-one told of his passing.
I wanted to just give her a hug but I don't I suppose understand why no-one contacted me to say this had happened.
I know that I just have to let it go and forgot about it as its not my family and not my business and all the rest and the grieving process has to be respected.
I just wanted to be there for her that's all.
