Default does a statue have energy

I've been re arranging my therapy room so i have moved things round and de cluttered some of the stuff i had in there.

I have a buddha type statue which has always sat in the centre of my table surrounded by candles. ( which faces East) My boyfriend came into the room and said dont you think the buddha would look better if it was sat on the window instead. ( facing a different direction) So i told him to try it and yes it did compliment the window area.
However he said as soon as he picked it up and sat it down he got goosebumps everywhere then said out loud "someone walking over my grave." Now i know this may sound silly but do you think the statue doesnt want to be moved? I dont know a great deal about feng shui.
I must admit since i moved everything around it just doesnt seem to have that calming relaxing feeling as you enter the room which was always there before.
I like the buddha where it is now but do you think i should move it back to its original place?

Trust your instincts. I would move it back to its original position and see if that feels 'right'.

Consider also that the statue is now in a more appropriate place and your boyfriend's goosebumps are an affirmation of that.

Hi Innerpeace,

In classical Feng Shui, the location of the room within the house would be considered to have a far greater influence than any small object placed within the room.

Agree with the others - perhaps go with how it feels to you.

Warmest Regards.

Years ago, I bought a ceramic statue by Bareggio of archangel Michael (I think that's the angel) stepping on Satan, with his spear upraised as if to kill him. I bought it from a Central American curandero after a clearing session with him. He said it would protect me and my flat. I've had it on a shelf for years.

I didn't want it to accidentally get knocked over so I bought some quake putty like they use in museums to hold objects in place. It is now impossible to budge even if I wanted to. I needed to paint that shelf because it was looking shabby and had no choice but to paint around the statue because it was stuck fast.

I am not sure when the following occurred because I'm not the world's best duster and didn't notice it right away but that statue, which was 2" away from the wall, has somehow moved back and is touching the wall! There is a clear unpainted ring showing where it had been before! When I went to paint the wall behind it later on, I had to use a tiny brush to get around the wings, which are now touching the wall. What the heck does this mean?

Sounds like you moved the statue by will power, or it wanted to be moved to have the shelf painted. Things often get moved around here, some disappear for days then reappear. Some times no explanation lol

It's like chosing a place for a crystal - go with what feels right for you. Maybe if the room isn't as peaceful it's because you need something complementary to go with it - have you tried putting some money in the Budda's hand?

I wish that were the case so I could paint! It's stuck fast. I tried prying it off but just chipped a bit off the ceramic base.

Dear Innerpeace
In all lineage of classical Feng Shui there are some precise rules about altars, or divinities, to be placed. If you believe in such divinities then a spirit might be attracted to its shape: consider the statue to be a "medium" with another realm, like tarot cards are for example.
Some of the rules not to be disrespectful to the divinities are not to place statues facing a bedroom or bathroom doors, inside a bedroom, facing the main entrance door, or having a window at is back, and not under a beam either. In fact the statue should not face anything disrepectful.
The statue can enhance your spriritual life if you put in the sector of your favorable element in your house. This has to be determined through the form or Chinese astrology that combines with Feng Shui, called Ba Zi ( 4 pillars).

Hope that helps

Default Indeed...

Hi Star
Yes I saw this but I've decided to answer Feng Shui posts on those forums as much as I can, to hopefully help people to understand better some notions

Hi Laurent
Thankyou for your reply.
In the end i decided to move the Buddah back to its original sitting place. It does not face the window or door but faces my massage couch ( overlooking my treatments , hope thats not bad ! )
