Default Massage techniques used "post" candling

Hi all - I'd like to have some advice from those of you experienced in ear candling.

i've just trained, and an in the midst of case studies. My daughter regularly has facial massage from me for sinus problems, and I generally use acupressure points & some other petrissage movements.

My training consisted of lymph drainage only, and discussion around this was to ensure firmer massage didnt have adverse effects on lymph drainage.

I'm currently reading Mary Dalglieish' book on ear candling, and the massage routine there is acupressure, followed by friction, followed by lymph drainage.

Can the experienced among you give me the benefit of what you find most beneficial for clients, particularly those with sinus & nasal congestion issues?...Thanks, jtp x

Hi Imported

I personally massage from a Oriental point of view therefore very biased towards acupressure with general massage techniques. Even though I'm not trained in LD, any form of massage will cause the lymph to drain. Typical points i may use would be GB20, Li20, St2, BL1, Yintang, Li4, sinus reflex points on the toes.

Hope that is helpful.

Best Wishes

RP

Personally, I do lymph drainage and accupressure on the face first, then followed by a head massage. The theory behind these techniques is that it aids the healing process post Ear Candling. It's a standard technique I use on all clients that are having Ear Candling. Hope this helps x
