Default Detox Foot Spas

Hi there

I've heard about Detox Foot Spas. Has anyone come across them. What price are they and how do they work.

Information much appreciated.

oh gosh! i saw something about these the other day - all i remember reading is that there are 2000 pores in the soles of the feet - and impurities are supposed to be drawn out that way! probably no help but its a start!

Salons Direct sell them for £495! I've seen people selling the treatments on the web for £30/session, need a lot of session to get your money back!! Someone told me that they were very big at the beauty show last year, but I don't know anyone who's tried it.

Hi,

I could be classed somewhat as an expert in this field as I have used many brands on Detox Foot Spa over the last 4 years.

It is a very very popular treatment at my salon, in fact my most popular treatment. The most important part of considering purchasing one of these machines is the customer service that the companies offer. I would avoid Aqua Detox like the plague (my machine that cost £1300 blew up while a client was having the treatment and then the company went into liquidation and I couldn't get my money back) I would recommend you use a reputable company who can offer after-sales support and will come out and see you for demos, and see to any problems you may encounter. I am now totally satisfied (having used several detox foot spa companies) with O2 Detox. Their machines are the cheapest (£485) and by far the best quality and they offer the best customer service.

Also all of their promotional material is free of charge, which I know is only a minor expense, but when you are being charged £20+ for a few leaflets, it all adds up.

Love and light

I and my clients have tried the detox foot pads, they are simply sensational. I am a great advocate. Before investing a large sumof money in a machine, why not try the easy to appy footpads yourself at £4.00 per pair. You will visibly see the toxins being eliminated when you place the pads under your feet at night and remove them in the morning. The result is astounding. My clients reported "good night sleep in several years" after using the pads.

Peacexxx

These are a con.

As far as I am aware (I haven't tested them), the foot pads go brown on contact with just plain water.

The foot baths work by charging the salts in the water, and the water will go brown with no feet near them. They have been featured on watchdog: http://www.bbc.co.uk/consumer/tv_and...070109_2.shtml

It's interesting that this Watchdog report was dated Jan 07 when dtox, who wrote her post above in 2005 said that Aqua Detox had gone into liquidation and she couldn't get her money back. Hmmm........

It really doesn't matter that the report spcifies Aqua Detox (although the products were traded following the bankruptcy via another company - think it may have been the agenta group, but not sure) - the principle behind foot detoxes are all the same - and the water goes brown if there are feet in the bath or not...

Apparantly the same is true of the patches, if they are made wet, due to a light brown powder in the patch that isn't obvious till the patch comes into contact with water or sweat...
