Default Colonix Side Effects

Hi everyone. Can anyone give me some advice?

I am currently on the Colonix Colon Cleansing Program, and I think I am experiencing some major side effects from the Colonix. I'm currently on day 19, and ever since the very first day. I have had this horrible headache. It;s awful. I always get it about an hour or so after drinking the Colonix fiber-mix. I'm not sure what to do. I called Dr. Natura and they told me that it's normal to experience headaches due to 'die-off', but that it should go away within a few days. But it hasn't, it's only gotten worse.

Two weeks later, I'm still getting bad headaches. They haven't given me anyinformation that was useful. The colonix fiber has also made me severely constipated. That's another thing I talked about with Dr. Natura, and they told me to increase my water intake. I'm currently drinking about 3.5 liters of water throughout the day. I'm sooo tired of drinking water. I'm only having a bowel movement once every three or four days.

Those are just the worse of the colonix side effects. I am also getting alot of stomach cramps, bloating, earaches, and fatigue. I'm pretty frustrated, because this isn't what I was expecting from Colonix.

Has anyone else had any Colonix Side Effects? Anyone have any advice for me?

Are you in the States? Have you had colonic irrigation yet? What else are you eating on the Programme? I thought the fibre mix was supposed to make the stools soft and easy to pass - perhaps 3.5 litres of fluid is not enough.

There's quite an extensive thread entitled "Dr Natura" on here - I've read it off and on for a while. There's heaps of info and experience on there. I haven't done the program myself but it sounds like you might need to increase the steeping time of the herbal tea you take at bedtime. - Read the pages of previous experiences, I'm sure your questions will be answered.

Just a quick comment from myself as I don't know this programme ("Dr Natura") and haven't read the thread.

But from living in California in that kind of place I got into the idea of colonics and enemas a bit. I think with more maturity I take the ideas with more caution now, without dismissing them at all.

But I'm wondering if "Colonix" (which I know nothing about) is even good at all, or cultish (?), or proven and tested? I expect that's on the thread referred to above. But these effects don't sound very 'healing' to me ....

P.S. I think you need a very good physical reason or motive for starting such regimes in the first place, and to be clear to oneself about what that is?

Default Bad Side Effects of Colonix

I've been on the cleanse for 10 days now. I am following the directions, except I steep the horrible tasting tea for 10 minutes. I've had a headache off an on since starting the program. I've also felt like I've had a stomach virus twice now. I am having severe gas and bloating, which I've never had before. The gas smells awful. Some days I don't even have a bm. I actually feel constipated sometimes. This is not working the way I expected it to work at all. I'm very disappointed. And I hate being full of gas like this. It's miserable.

There are many variables in cleansing the colon. First of all we must know the cause of why this has happened in the first place. Usually people who are on the standard american diet eventually suffer with colon related problems and then seek out these wonder drinks to rectify the problem. Most people over load on protiens especially meats and heavy starches which are hard to digest. Another factor is low acid levels in the stomach to process these foods and putrification occurs. You may also have a wheat and dairy allergic response which will further complicate the smooth functioning of the colon. I would suggest caution with a prolonged detox that you are playing with fire. Try a good aloe juice in the morning followed by a celery cucumber juice freshly made with some parsely or celantro. Lemon water is also soothing to the colon. A fruit smoothy is also a good idea and only one cooked meal at night. Not too heavy on the banana's with alot berries orgnic if possible. Take baby steps and stay hydrated with good water like Fujii or Volvic. Good Luck!

I am sorry that you have to feel this way/go through this!
I also tried Colonix, and I didn't have these body responses. I would think either that your body is cleansing, and I would say wait a few days and see how it develops. Or, there is also the possibility that your body is allergic to one or a few of the herbs. So then, I would say stop taking the product. Well anyway, I hope it goes well for you. And also, don't forget to drink lots of water - 2 L a day. Take care.

Hi

Totally new to this. But I was looking for something to ease my constipation and bloating stomach. Can anybody suggest anything other than water, raw veg and no alcohol - dont mind the first two but the last one a little difficult to stick to.
