Default Bowen Traning in South West

Hi all
Am a Beauty and Massage Therapist, would like to do some research into Bowen Technique and eventually train in this therapy.

My questions are

Are there different techniques used depending where you go?

Are qualifications recognised for insurance and other health professionals

Where is the nearest training centre to me (gloucestershire)

Anyone offering it locally to me so I can experience it again

Thanks in advance
Teresa

Default Bowen Technique Training near Gloucestershire

Hi Teresa
I've just found your thread, so apologies for taking a while to get back to you. I teach the Bowen Technique in Malvern, Worcestershire and have a course starting in May 2009, if that's of any help to you.

In reply to your questions:
Are there different techniques used depending where you go?
This is difficult to answer as I've only trained with one college and so am not really sure what the other colleges offer. Certainly the techniques and procedures that we teach cover the structural, systemic and emotional conditions that can be presented by a client - from new borns right through to the elderly and also palliative care.

Are qualifications recognised for insurance and other health professionals?
The college I trained with and teach for - European College of Bowen Studies is recognised by insurance companies eg Balens etc and health professional bodies eg FHT etc

Where is the nearest training centre to me (gloucestershire)
The nearest course to you that I'm teaching this year is in Malvern, Worcestershire

Anyone offering it locally to me so I can experience it again
If you would like to come and have a chat and a treatment, please let me know or I can find a practitioner that's nearer to you.

I hope this has helped Teresa, and please let me know if I can be of any further help. Click on the link of my website for my contact details.

Best wishes and Happy New Year
Jo Lunn
