Default Advertising for one to one baby massage

Hi

Where do you advertise for one to one baby massage?

How much do people charge?

Would like to set up classes maybe run them from my home or others homes?

Any tips

Thanks

Hi Cookies

I am not running 1-1 baby massage sessions at the moment as I prefer teaching groups. However I advertised them the same places as my group classes and they are what I did when I first set up my baby massage business.

I found that my website worked really well, also adverts/posters in local shops and newsagents, leaving fliers in local baby shops and advert on gumtree. After a while word of mouth referrals kicked in too and clients were recommending me to others. Going along to NCT/mother and baby groups to talk about what you do can be effective too as people get to meet you. You may find that you get a group wanting to come together though, rather than one-one. Not sure if there is a reason you are looking to do 1-1s but I would recommend doing groups too as they are more cost effective for you and can create a lovely supportive environment for the mums too.

I charged quite a bit compared to what others were charging for 1-1 sessions but I couldn't really understand how others could charge as little as they did. Basically you need to think about what you want/need to earn and work from there. If you are travelling to other people's homes you need to add in travel costs eg petrol as well as time. If it takes 30 mins to get there and back it's not an hour of work, but two hours. As long as you can show there is value in what you are charging you should be fine charging what you are worth.

Good luck!

Hi

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Thanks for your advice.

I will look at a group and I will put an advert on netmums and I also have a website it is just getting my name out there. I will look at putting my leaflets and maybe getting a poster done and give them to baby shops.

Thanks again
