yes carry on, but perhaps offer classes in peoples homes.
i started baby massage in 1999 just before it got really popular. At one stage I was running 4 courses a week, one at my local community centre, one on behalf of Sure start and 2 at peoples homes.
I also got taken on by a top spa to teach baby massage as they wanted to appear to being more child-friendly.
anyhow, Sure Start and health visitors all took up training and offer classes for free.
my classes stopped overnnight.
what I did find was middle class parents preferred to arrange their own classes either with friends or just as a small family unit.
I also found NCT mums liked private classes.
So sit down and think who are your target audience and go for it.
i now only offer one to ones, I charge the same as I would for an adult body massage and I leave it up to the parent(s) to decide how many classes they want. some like to learn slowly, some like to get as much as they can for their money.
