Default Baby Massage Classes

Hi, I need some ideas as to where to hold baby massage classes. I currently go to individuals houses to teach one-on-one but would like to be at a venue where I could possibly teach 6 mummies at once.

I have tried enquiring at church halls but often there is an answering machine or I have have found the charges are quite high!

Also where could I advertise to get a group of ladies together for a class?

Any suggestions would be grateful!

In terms of where to advertise, find out where your local antenatal classes are held, and see if you would be allowed to put posters or leaflets there, and try to get to know your local midwives.

In terms of location, its really just seeing what is around your area. Possibility would be any rooms at a gym or studios where the likes of pilates / yoga are taught, maybe they could be available when classes are not using them. Or how about playcenters / creches for evening or weekend use? May be just some leg work wandering around your area to look out for possibilities.

you could go to to your gp and enquire with the health visitor also doctors sometimes have rooms to let, local childrens centre would also be a good place to ask at.

Everyone's given really good suggestions.

I just wanted to say that I used to go to a baby massage group that I heard about through the antenatal yoga group that I went to. People kind of graduated to the baby massage group as they gave birth! It was really nice having the connection from pregnancy to motherhood as it meant you already knew the other mothers.

I remember the massage lady got us all to agree that what was shared in the massage group stayed in it which may sound a little odd but it meant everyone felt able to say how they were really feeling, share things about their birth experiences and the lasting effects on their bodies etc., relationship problems since the birth and so on.

So, if I were you I'd find out about local antenatal yoga and see if you can strike up a relationship with the yoga teacher and go along and talk to the group etc.

Good luck!
