Default Which Infant/Baby Massage course? Decisions, decisions!

Hi everyone,

I'm brand new to this but I thought this forum would be one of the best places to ask for people's opinions on Infant/Baby Massage Instructors courses.

In a nutshell, I'm due to complete two VTCT Level 3 courses in June (one in Swedish massage and the other in Aromatherapy).I've absolutely loved the courses and now considering going on to study an Infant Massage Instructors course. With everything, it seems that there's quite a few to choose from and I was hoping to draw on your experiences to find out which are thebest courses to go on.

I'm based in Newcastle, but I can travel all over the UK so location isn't so much of a problem. So far, I've looked into the IAIM, ITEC and the VTCT courses, but also at Baby Massage courses at Body Basics School of Body Therapy - London, and TouchLearn to name a few.

Are there any courses which have really stood out? Everyone seems to think a lot of the IAIM - is this a good course? As the coursesdo range in price, I really want to be sure that I'm going to get the best out of the course so Ihugely appreciate any help you can give me.

Finally, am I right in thinking I would need to apply for CRB disclosure if I was to eventually qualify and practice as an Infant/Baby Massage Instructor?

Big thanks in advance.

Default RE: Which Infant/Baby Massage course? Decisions, decisions!

Hi

I am doing a Baby Massage Instructors course in october with the FHT and this is £165. It is a and the assessment is in Dec - based in Prescott, Lancashire.

Not sure if they have any places left but the FHT have a very good reputation for running courses.

Hope this helps.
