RE: Ayurveda
Hi Lilac
I know a little about ayurveda as I spend the winters in South India. I know many people who have had ayurvedic treatments for various ailments - they usually seem to involve huge (and I do mean huge) bottles of medicine which have to be taken for a very long time. I think the illness usually gets bored and goes away! I once went to an ayurvedic practitioner (who I was later told was a charlatan - after all how can you tell?) for a one day detox. Well everything came out of both ends and I then had to go home and cover myself in a special oil and not wash for three days (if I remember right.) It was great!
Seriously, good ayurvedic doctors are few and far between as the training takes years and years. I believe there is an ayurvedic clinic in London (Regents Park) which charges an absolute fortune for treatments. Even in India the best clinics are not cheap.
Love
